America First – good for the bully maybe not the citizens. Hello Congress!!

America First (or we win you lose):

• NAFTA, Eurozone, TPP, G7, UN Human Rights Council: all multilateral groups. The commander doesn’t like them because It is easier to sqeeze one on one – otherwise they tend to gang up.
• USA, with less than 5% of world’s people, does not have the proportionate influence it had seventy-two years ago after World War II. The U.N. was established in 1945 based on the premise that human rights and a set of social and economic principles were good for everyone. Now the U.N. is vilified by the commander and UN Ambassador because not everybody there agrees with us on every issue.
• The commander and his band of princelings and courtiers stoke our fears about swarms of immigrant evil doers streaming through our southern border causing “death and destruction” because of the “worst immigration laws in the entire world”. Actually, undocumented immigrants contribute almost $12 Billion to the US economy each year.

Meanwhile congress is afraid to participate:

• Addicted to a great job with prestige, power and perks
• Mostly rich or at least with rich benefactor and generous lobbyists
• Afraid to speak up for fear of offending the commander or various patrons and not driven by principles that would risk losing an election.

Badly needed:

• Term limits
• Money out of the electoral process
• Active and Informed Voters
