Iran? We are “locked and loaded” waiting for the word from the “kingdom” for how to proceed after drone attacks on the Saudi oil fields.We dropped out of the Iran Nuclear Deal which apparently was working as intended. Now Iran is enhancing their nuclear skills and instigating trouble in response to US “maximum pressure”. The cruel and stupid civil war in Yemen which we support through our “friends” in the “kingdom” has been causing misery for five years. |
Israel, Palestinians? The secretive US “Peace Plan” has been marinating for two years and reportedly suggests annexation of the Jordan Valley, a significant portion of the West Bank.How will this work? The resident Palestinians become Israeli citizens? |
Afghanistan? The talks with the Taliban (and secret meeting at Camp David) are now “dead”.This is good news for the Afghan president Ashraf Ghani who has been left out of the negotiations. The “commander” found out that an agreement had already been signed and he wouldn’t get the photo op so it is now dead. |
Syria? We are waiting for the big three (Russia, Turkey and Iran) to resolve the situation in Northwest Syria along the Turkish border.The conflict has been devastating to the people. Syria’s main oil fields are occupied by US-backed Kurdish forces, agriculture and manufacturing have been decimated. |
In this muddle of trouble, conflict and treachery we have no coherent plans for peace.
We need a strategy!
I hope we will work with the U.N. on that strategy. We also need to check the veracity of the situation. This might be part of the b.s. game our leaders play more often than not.
The “commander” doesn’t like the UN – prefers one on one where being a bully is easier.
