People with opposing ideas are “human scum” in this world of the self-defined stable genius with his great and un-matched wisdom and attempted cyber bullying of teenager, Greta. Normally, these public musings would end a public career in disgrace. But our reality show tycoon has convinced his political aspirants high and low that they can’t survive a primary attack and would lose their perk-laden jobs if any dissent is uttered.
So, a nucleus of cowardly politicians, zealous evangelicals, fearful gun enthusiasts, carbon extractors and the disaffected who have experienced harsh loss of jobs and identity are the support base.
Impeachment corruption, aside, this group is OK with a blunderbuss array of trade sanctions, prejudice against immigrants, military roulette rather than diplomacy, deregulation of harmful pesticides such as chlorpyrifos. It only cost $1M to the inaugural committee to get this stuff allowed. Please note, some states are beginning to ban as has the European Union.
How about some transparency?
Keep the necessary secrets, but not basic information the public is entitled to. What was said during meetings in Helsinki with the KGB agent directing Unit 29155 , on the phone etc.? What is happening with North Korea, Iran, China, Ukraine…? The “love” letters? Who is still our friend, because they like us?
